A: This platform helps you learn more about Philips products and the brand, while providing you with more valuable information. We make this more fun, more innovative, more rewarding and more fulfilling for you compared to going to a website, joining a Facebook group or reading a product manual. Normally, the first step is that you are invited to participate in one specific product campaign. Once you have completed this campaign, you can indicate if you want to participate in more campaigns on this platform.
Q: How does it work?
A: It is a simple three step process:
Get invited: You get invited by Philips or friends to try and learn about Philips products, based on your profile, interests and personal preferences.
Do fun interactions: Share your honest feedback, watch short demos and videos, create photos or videos, get useful tips and learn some things you didn’t know before, in the form of byte-sized interactions called “missions”, all while earning points along the way.
Get rewarded: The more points you earn, the greater your chances of getting rewarded with great prizes, money-can’t buy experiences or other privileges, like getting priority testing of other new Philips products!
Q: I’m not registered for this platform yet. How do I register?
A: All you need to do is create a login account (username, email and password). Once you have registered, relevant product campaigns will be made visible to you.
Q: Why should I join this platform and what is expected of me?
A: By doing missions in the campaigns, you will learn some useful info and tips about Philips products, get access to exclusive deals, have the opportunity to be the first to try a product before it becomes available in the market, all while having fun and increasing your chances to win rewards for yourself. In general, we ask that you participate actively by sharing your experience, honest feedback and have fun along the way! Your honest feedback, suggestions and ideas will be used in developing even better products for users like you.
Q: What is a "campaign"?
A: A campaign is related to a particular product and contains “journeys”. A journey is made up of several small interactive challenges that fit logically together. We call them “missions”. You can see the campaign(s) available to you after you have logged in with your registered email and password. Not every campaign is designed exactly the same. This means the experience is unique and engaging every single time. Some campaigns will take you just a few days, while others may last a few weeks to allow you to fully explore and learn about our products.
Q: How many campaigns can I join?
A: New campaigns come available at the discretion of the product marketing teams and sometimes in conjunction with other marketing activities or launches. At times, there are no active campaigns but it is also possible that multiple campaigns are live at the same time.
Q: How will I know when new campaigns are live?
A: If your profile, interests and preferences indicate a strong fit with a campaign, we will invite you to be part of the campaign via email. The campaign will be visible to you after you have logged in. So keep an eye on your inbox!
Q: When do campaigns end?
A: The duration for each campaign is different. Upon joining a campaign, the end date will be clearly indicated as part of the “terms of campaign’’. Shortly after the campaign period, we will get in touch with all winners of the rewards via email.
About Journeys & Missions
Q: What is a “journey”?
A: A campaign consists of one or several “journeys”. Think of a journey like a chapter in a book. A journey consists of a set of small interactive challenges (missions) that fit logically together. Once you open a campaign, you can see all the journeys available on the home page of that particular campaign.
Q: What are "missions"?
A: “Missions” are simple and fun challenges that enable you to earn points. They can be learning new things via quizzes or surveys, giving feedback, sharing your ideas and suggestions, writing a product review, Facebook sharing, photo upload, making videos, inviting a friend and more.
Q: Do I need to complete all missions?
A: No, there is no pressure to do all missions. However, the more missions you do, the more things you will learn about the product, and the more points and rewards you will earn.
Q: How many times can I do a mission?
A: Most missions can only be done once. However, if a particular mission can be done more than once, it will be clearly indicated. In all cases, you can still access the mission content if you like as there is often useful and handy tips and information to refer back to.
Q: How do I get points for missions?
A: On completing a mission, you will see a message confirming that your response has been received. For some missions, points are awarded immediately after your response is submitted. For more challenging missions worth higher points, points are awarded after we’ve had a look at your submission. This will take 1-2 working days. You will receive a notification when your response is approved.
Q: Do I get points only if I give positive feedback on products?
A: Your honest opinion is most valuable and matters most to us and others. As long as you're giving authentic feedback and contributing real content, you will get the same amount of points, regardless if it is positive or not.
Q: What can I do with the points collected?
A: Points earned will indicate your level of participation in each campaign. We will assess your total points at the end of the campaigns and if you have actively participated, you’ll be rewarded in return. We will notify winners via email and then deliver the token of appreciation. Earning more points can also increase your chances to get re-invited to new campaigns or other tester programmes.
Q: How do I keep track of my points?
A: After logging in, you can track your points history via the "points" tab on the campaign home page. You will see a record of all the points you have earned.
Q: Are the points earned across different campaigns accumulative and transferrable from one to another?
A: Points are exclusive to the campaign of which you earned them in. Once the campaign is over, the points will no longer be valid. It is not possible to transfer points from one campaign to another campaign.
Q: I am no longer interested in this programme. How do I transfer my points to someone else?
A: Points are not transferrable. All points will expire at the end of each campaign. If you are no longer interested in joining a campaign, you may choose to stop responding to missions. However, all prior content uploaded can still be used by Philips (please view “terms of participation”). If you no longer wish to be part of a campaign or this platform, kindly send us an email.
Q: What kind of rewards are available in the campaigns?
A: Different campaigns offer different rewards. You can find this exciting bit of information on the "Rewards" tab on the campaign home page. Broadly speaking there are two kinds of rewards depending on the campaign:
Redeem rewards: These rewards can be redeemed by you if you have enough points and the rewards are still available. On redeeming such a reward, you will receive a notification and email with details of the reward.
Winner rewards: These rewards cannot be redeemed and are given out to the winners at the end of the campaign, based on certain criteria mentioned within the rewards description and “terms of campaign” of each campaign.
The quantity, number of points required, and other criteria for redeeming or winning a reward is mentioned on the rewards page of each campaign.
Q: How will I receive the rewards I have redeemed/won?
A: Physical rewards will be couriered to you and virtual rewards like e-coupons will be sent to you via email.
Q: How will I track status and details of the rewards I have redeemed/won?
A: All the rewards that you have won or redeemed can be seen by clicking “Rewards” on the side navigation bar.
Q: What if there is a tie for the top rewards?
A: If there is a tie, we will make a subjective final call based on quality of content/answers submitted by each candidate for the prizes. Criteria will include:
Style and organization
Relevance of message/content
Quality (sound, light, focus)
Spelling, usage, grammar and mechanics
Overall Impression: attractiveness and maintained interest
About your account, password and privacy
Q: How do I change my password?
A: After logging in, go to "Profile", click the edit icon in the password field. Fill in your old and new password and then the Save button.
Q: What do I do if I forget my password?
A: Click on "Forgot password" at the bottom of the log in window, then follow the instructions to recover your password.
Q: What do you do with the information I provide to you?
A: We value and respect your privacy. We will only use your data for the purposes as described in our Philips Privacy Notice and only share with third parties who use the data on our behalf and under our conditions. We don’t allow these third parties to use the data for their own purposes. Please read the Philips Privacy Notice for more information.
